Privacy Policy

1 Overview

Sound Room ("the App") is a music player for iOS developed by Alpesh Valaki. The App streams music from a Subsonic-compatible server that you own and control. This policy explains what information the App accesses and how it is used.

2 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:

• Your name, email address, or any account credentials
• Your music library, listening history, or playback activity
• Location data
• Device identifiers or advertising IDs
• Analytics or crash telemetry sent to our servers

3 Your Music Server

The App communicates directly between your device and the Subsonic server address you provide. We have no visibility into, access to, or control over that server or the data it holds. Please review the privacy policy of your server software and hosting provider separately.

4 Jam Sessions

The optional Jam Session feature lets you listen in sync with others in real time. When you use Jam Sessions:

• A temporary, anonymous room ID is created for the session
• Playback state (play/pause, seek position, track ID) is relayed through our relay server to synchronise participants
• No audio content is transmitted through our servers — music streams directly from each participant's own server
• Session data is transient and is not persisted after the session ends

5 Subscriptions & Purchases

Sound Room Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple's In-App Purchase system. All billing and payment data is handled entirely by Apple. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's privacy policy applies to all purchase transactions: apple.com/legal/privacy.

6 Third-Party Services

The App does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs.

The App uses Apple frameworks (StoreKit, AVFoundation, MediaPlayer) that are subject to Apple's own privacy practices.

7 Children's Privacy

Sound Room is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the App, please contact us and we will take appropriate action.

8 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
